{"id":509,"date":"2011-01-07T21:10:49","date_gmt":"2011-01-08T03:10:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.mceachernfamily.com\/blog\/?p=509"},"modified":"2011-01-07T21:10:49","modified_gmt":"2011-01-08T03:10:49","slug":"mother-goose","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.mceachernfamily.com\/blog\/2011\/01\/mother-goose.html","title":{"rendered":"Mother Goose"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I was putting Caroline to bed this evening and was sitting in our big chair reading some stories with her when I picked up Jen&#8217;s old copy of &#8220;The Real Mother Goose.&#8221; It&#8217;s old and fragile, pages are starting to fall out of it since the binding glue is drying out, but every now and then I pick it up to read a couple with her.<\/p>\n<p>Tonight I opened up to a page and saw a picture of an old guy jumping in the bush and thought what&#8217;s this all about.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<div>THE MAN IN OUR TOWN<\/div>\n<p>There was a man in our town,<br \/>\nAnd he was wondrous wise,<br \/>\nHe jumped into a bramble bush,<br \/>\nAnd scratched out both his eyes;<br \/>\nBut when he saw his eyes were out,<br \/>\nWith all his might and main,<br \/>\nHe jumped into another bush,<br \/>\nAnd scratched &#8217;em in again.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Really, scratched his eyes out!?<\/p>\n<p>There you go Caroline, stay out of the bushes or look what can happen, scratch your eyes right out, and don&#8217;t listen to any of that nonsense about scratching &#8217;em back in &#8217;cause that&#8217;s not going to happen.
