Remember the Little Village

We’re still here, it’s just been quite on the web front.  I had been working on getting the pictures from Disney together and I’m about half way there but that means I still have a bunch to go.  On top of that I’ve had all kinds of other stuff on the go so I haven’t been able to spend any time on it.

I did manage to get a number of the character pictures printed for Andrew.  We took an autograph book to Disney and whenever you meet the characters and get your picture taken with them you can also have them sign your autograph book.  We strategically got the characters to sign on every other page which left one side open for adding a picture of the kids with that character.  Andrew “really really really really wanted” (his words) to take the book to school to show his friends so that took priority.  He took it to school last week and the teacher let him get up in front of the class to talk about his trip and show everyone the pictures and signatures.  He’s very proud of this book.

He still loves to talk about the trip and all the things he did.  (Which is good since it was only a couple weeks ago.) This morning while I was driving him to school he asked me,

“Do you remember when we went to the the little village?”

For the life of me I just couldn’t figure out what he meant by little village so I had to ask what he meant.

“Which little village, I don’t remember the small village?”

“You know, the one that we had to ride the boat on.”

“Oh, you mean the Small World ride.”

“Ya, wasn’t that exciting!  Remember how all the people were singing?  And they had hyenas there too, but I didn’t like the hyenas because they were just laughing.”
