I haven’t posted pictures to the website for a while and part of reason is that our camera died a couple of months ago. We’ve had our small pocket camera but our SLR started getting flaky and then totally quit. The small camera is ok but it certainly doesn’t take pictures as nice as the SLR did.
So a week ago I ordered a brand spanking new camera and it arrived just in time for the last game of the boys basketball season. Of course I had to test it out at the game and capture some pictures.
We had originally only planned on Andrew playing basketball since he had such a good time with it last year but after going to one of Andrew’s practices Alex pleaded with us to play as well.
We gave in since it was the church league with the goal of coaching basketball fundamentals and having fun instead of high pressure competition and winning at all costs. They both had lots of fun and said that they wanted to play again next year.
I can’t wait to start seeing Caroline athletic pictures at some point 🙂
I should make a new post out of this but I didn’t include any pictures of the opening ceremonies. Before each game they would dim the lights play music and announce the boys names as they ran through the gym door. When they would run out onto the court they would have cheerleaders lined up waving their pom-poms and they would run through the middle of them.
During one of the games we asked Caroline if she was excited about playing basketball too and she said, “No, I want to be a cheerleader.”
Oh no, not sure Jen is going to allow the cheerleader thing to happen
Nice pictures – looks like fun!! How come when I leave a comment now it’s takes me to this strange place that I can’t get back to once I click on the pictures and have to back to Google Reader to find again? (There’s a pine cone at the top at the moment, but the picture changes.)
Hmmm, that’s kind of strange. Your comment was put in the moderation queue for some reason. (New email address?) It could have something to do with that. The bog looks a little different since the theme I was using didn’t work with the upgraded WordPress software so I just went back to the default theme which I haven’t customized yet.
Well, I’ve had this one for a while, but maybe I haven’t commented on here yet with it. I still use the other one, too.

No, still takes me to this other place. There’s an Asian chessboard at the top this time. But as soon as I click on the picture links it takes me to the “regular” place. Using the older email address today, too. (It’s the same when I use paretsje@gmail.com.) But you said your using the default theme and haven’t customized it yet, so isn’t that what I’m seeing?
Hmm. I’m not really sure what is going on. I would expect that after posting the comment it would just take you back to the same page and not some strange location. I picture at the top will probably update but I would expect it to be at least on the same page.
The boys are looking pretty slick with their wrist bands and seriously both were displaying some sweet defensive moves! Way to go!
