Dad: So, Alex, this is your first piece of artwork from Grade 1. Tell me about it?

Alex: Uh, Dad, this wasn’t my first piece of art made.

Dad: Yes, but it’s the first one you picked to put on the website.

Alex: Oh.

Dad: So, tell me about it.

Alex: Hmm. We were making flowers and we got to make our own flower.

Dad: Ok, what type of flower did you do?

Alex: I don’t know.

Dad: How did you pick the colors?

Alex: We got to pick the colors by chalk. My colors were yellow, green, and blue. We put those colours on the leaves.

Dad: How did you do the background?

Alex: I used a black Sharpie.

Dad: Very nice. I like it.

Alex: I picked the middle color to be blue.

Dad: Why?

Alex: It’s my favorite color.
