We met with the builder last Thursday and they are ready to get going on the house. When we drove by the yesterday they had the foundation framed out, the underground plumbing done, and are ready to pour the foundation.
It’s fun to see progress being made.
Very cool. You’ll have to visit often and take pictures as they progress – it will all happen very quickly!! Can’t wait to see the finished product.
Okay – starting to piece together the move now. Building a house not too far away from where you used to live if you can stop by often enough to take pics??
I guess it is kind of confusing. Here’s the somewhat condensed version.
Alex is currently a transfer into his current school. To get Andrew and Caroline in there they too would need a transfer and for us to get Alex into the jr. high and high schools that he would go to we would need to get transfers into those as well. Since getting a transfer isn’t guaranteed and we could have kids going to different schools or having to suddenly go to a new school when moving from elementary to jr. high etc. we decided that it would be best to move.
At the same time we also wanted to get a little bigger of a house because at some point the boys are not going to want to share a room and this gives us the chance to get an additional bedroom.
So, after all that we decided to put the house up for sale and find a new place. Our house sold in 8 days which we were not quite prepared for and we couldn’t find a place that we like in the area we were looking so we ended up deciding to build a place. It’s only about 15 minutes from where we were before so we aren’t moving all that far and yes, it gives us a chance to watch the progress.
So exciting! I’ll be ready to move into the theatre room whenever it’s ready- just let me know 🙂
