Day out with Thomas Pictures Posted
Alex and I just finished working on the Day out with Thomas pictures for the website. In 2003 we took Alex to the Day out with Thomas and since Andrew is at the same age and enjoys playing with the Thomas train set we knew he would enjoy it too.
Alex just had this to say about the day:
“I enjoyed riding on Thomas and I’m sure everybody did. I ate corn dog for lunch there and for dessert I had a funnel cake.”
Sleep Study and Pictures from New Orleans
I’ll spare you the details of the actual study but it turns out there isn’t anything wrong with my sleep. I do stop breathing at night but apparently it’s only one time more per hour then what they consider normal. Something like 5 times an hour is ok and I averaged 6 for the four hours of sleep I managed to get.
Since they didn’t find anything one of the strategies the doctor suggested to combat the tiredness was to make sure I wake up at the same time every day, including weekends. Unfortunately for me I go swim before work some days which means I’m getting up early those days and the days I’m not swimming I need to get up early as well.
As a result it looks like I’m going to have some free time to fill and this morning I used it to get the pictures from our New Orleans trip together and posted to site.

Alex Basketball Game and Surprise Birth Trip Website Updates
Now that I have a couple of days at home to relax I’ve actually spent some time getting the web site up to date. Yesterday I posted pictures from one of Alex’s basketball games that he had at the beginning of January and from my surprise birthday trip to the Great Wolf Lodge.
Boys Yearly Pictures
It’s yearly picture time again, or should I say it was yearly picture time a couple of months ago but as things usually seem to go I’m just getting around to putting them on the website.
Alex is old enough now that he can remember doing pictures last year, even two years ago, that he knew what was going on and kind of went with the flow. He wasn’t happy about it but he still went with the flow.
Andrew on the other hand was not happy about having to do pictures. The first time we tried he ended up in tears and was trying to rip the shirt off. We only managed two pictures that day. We didn’t try again for a couple more weeks and he still wasn’t happy about it. We decided it probably didn’t matter when we did pictures this year he wasn’t going to be happy about it so we went ahead and took them anyway. In the end we have a couple pictures of him in tears but as got near the end he started to come around a little and we ended up with some good pictures.
Andrew’s First Haricut
I actually posted these pictures a couple of days ago of Andrew’s first “haircut.” He doesn’t have enough hair that we needed to take him to a hair place for a full on haircut but the sides and back were pretty long and needed a trim.
Things started out alright but a couple of minutes into the trim it seemed to end up the way just about everything ends up with him, in tears.

Christmas Pictures
I’ve finished putting up a couple of pictures from Christmas. It turns out that we really didn’t take that many pictures so there wasn’t a whole lot to choose from but here you go.
Website Update
I’ve managed to start on the website updates and posted a some pictures we took early in December. The winter started off very mild and didn’t get really start to get cold until around Christmas and the days afterwards. We took advantage of it by getting the kids outside every chance we could and one day we tackled the project of raking the leaves in the backyard. In the end it turned into Jen and I raking the leaves into a pile for the kids and me taking pictures of them.
